Our work is driven by a passion for good food and craftsmanship. To us, the word solitary not only reflects the restaurant’s secluded location but also represents forging our own path and trusting in our unique style and approach. We are committed to providing our guests with not only delicious food but also a warm atmosphere and top-quality service.
I spent my childhood fishing and exploring the nature of Rantasalmi and Lake Saimaa, which instilled in me a deep appreciation for the area’s ingredients. My love for butter, on the other hand, comes from my French roots. While the main ingredients in our dishes come from nearby, we don’t want to confine ourselves strictly to a Nordic style. Our food reflects a love for travel and incorporates lessons learned from around the world. I have worked not only in Finland’s top restaurants but also in some of the most renowned restaurants in Australia, and also lived in Bali. Our restaurant is located within the Kuru Resort area, in close proximity to the Nature Hotel & Spa Resort Järvisydän. We warmly welcome guests from outside these resorts as well, so you’re invited to visit us whether you come from near or far. Please note, however, that since the entire Kuru Resort area is adults-only, our restaurant is also only able to serve adult guests.
